Built by Vimal Shah and designed by Vastupal-Tejpal between the 11th and 13th centuries AD, Delwara Jain Temple is one of the most beautiful sacred pilgrimage places to the Jains. These are five marble temples within 100 meters proximity to each other, known for their world class carvings by craftsmen. The perfection in the carvings is very precise like you would expect machines to be doing these days. The temple looks really basic and worn out from the outside which was intentionally designed in that manner because those days the Akbar’s raj was breaking down all the temples they saw. The Temple is exceptionally beautiful from the inside.
Just to take care, photography is strictly banned in this temple and so are leather accessories, in-case you are planning to visit, do not carry these with you.
It is a must visit when you are in Mount Abu as it has been nominated for World records due its beautiful architecture which you will see nowhere else and is just at 2 kms drive from Manek Manor Hotel.
